You're doubtless aware of the NES classic Excitebike, a relatively simple sidescrolling bike racer that was notable for being among the first video games with a custom track builder. Well, not much has changed with this 3DS update - the single player game is essentially the same, albeit with some 3D effects added, and nearly all of the graphics and the music are identical. However, this version does have two big pluses over the original - it actually saves your fastest times now (as opposed to erasing them when you quit the game) and you can actually save your created tracks. Actually, you can save up to 32 of them at a time now, which is a very nice feature. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be an option to pass them around on the Internet, either via a download service or as individual files on an SD card, so if you want to share your works you'll have to get a bit creative.

The price is right on this package too - the game is 100% free until July 7th. So go pick it up at no cost and enjoy some classic 8-bit action.
