We've foregone reading the rest of Mary Sue's adventures due to the aforementioned tedium and pointlessness of it all, but we're not quite done yet. For the next stop on this extended tour of madness, I present to you our author's Duke Nukem 3D mod, "Naferia's Reign", which has been in development off-and-on for twelve years, almost as long as Duke Nukem Forever itself. As for how far it's come in that time, well, you can judge for yourself, as it's presented here in this lengthy series of videos narrated by Fanboy from Freakazoid.

(If you can watch all of those, start to finish, without going blind, deaf, ill, or insane, I will nominate you for sainthood. Personally, I couldn't even make it through one.)

Fortunately, an alternative exists for the less iron-willed among us. Here is the official website, which gives you a good idea of the sheer amount of effort that has gone into this mess. Playable characters range from Duke to the Sailor Senshi to Paula to Lo Wang to a very obvious self-insert character to (of all the god damn things) BUBSY THE BOBCAT, as they venture through poorly redesigned stages while contending with a clumsily-implemented level and shop system, an extremely cluttered GUI, tons of useless item collecting, tired internet memes, voice acting that never shuts the hell up, enemies that randomly become invincible or fifty times stronger for no apparent reason (seriously? that's terrible programming!) and countless other annoyances. And you thought that "Earthbound Doom" was a disaster.

UPDATE: He apparently wrote a far-too-wordy TVTropes page to promote it, too. He's nothing if not consistent!
