Well, with Mega Man's runaway success and unprecedented number of sequels on the NES console alone, a lengthy outing on the most popular handheld of the time was pretty much inevitable. The first of these is Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge, which combines the bosses of Mega Man 1 and 2 on the NES with remixed stages and a few original elements of its own. It's also one of the harder games in the franchise, featuring no Energy Tanks, some fierce bosses and several very long platforming sections over hazards that mean instant death on contact. While not one of the series' stronger games, it's worth looking into if you enjoyed the NES titles.

score:

If nothing else, support this one to entice Capcom into eventually releasing the cream of the crop - the Game Boy versions of Mega Man 4 and 5, which are some of the best titles in the entire franchise!
