We love Virtual Console but man fuck writing a full review of something we just paid six dollars for. Have a Quick Hit instead.

A pioneer in the space exploration genre, and still one of the best examples of it in spite of the hefty technological limitations of the year 1986 (not the least of which are, saving the entire game state to a single floppy disc and having a significant portion of the back-story relegated to the printed manual). It's downright amazing what they managed to accomplish, though - there are over 100 star systems to explore, alien races to interact with, and a surprisingly good storyline to check out in between all the fortune hunting and combat that goes on in the game. Thankfully, the GOG version also comes pre-loaded with a program to automatically generate answers to copy protection and reset the game to its original state (in the chance you should somehow corrupt your save file or get yourself irreversably stuck), so it's definitely your best option for checking out this classic.
