It's time for Part 2, wherein we complete a few early quests, encounter the first of endless waves of incredibly annoying magi, recruit a new ally, and learn the importance of armor for front-line fighters. We then spend our profits on the Blade of the Roses, which will remain one of our bard's primary pieces of equipment for a while to come - not only is it a +3 Long Sword, it also gives a +2 bonus to Charisma while equipped. Quite nice.



And here's the other half of the aforementioned add-on, the goodies sold by Joluv in the Copper Coronet (all imported from Icewind Dale).



Ah, and one more tidbit: If you pickpocket Tolgerias (the guy I was asked to speak to inside the Government District building) you can get a Ring of the Ram, which does 5-30 damage to one enemy once a day. The nice thing is that it bypasses magic resistances and defenses, so it's a handy way to land the killing blow on particularly nasty mages.
