I dont think it's right to make a whole new chain to review WiiWare titles, but i dont think its right to put them straight in to the older updates with the rest of the quick hits either, so im just going to put it in the VC quickhits and not tag the "piddly shit" box.
LostWinds is a short, relaxing as hell little exploratory adventure game. As with most games in this genre, the focus is heavy on the game's environment and atmosphere. If you've played Knytt or Knytt Stories, then you can imagine knytt had no wall climbing and then stop reading after the next sentence. The game's main mode of transportation is Wind, granted to the midget main character by holding down A or B and waving the wiimote cursor over him to blow his featherweight body all over the place (off of cliffs, in to walls, puddles, etcetera). Theres not much of a challenge factor at all, however. You collect floating blue seeds to add to your extra lives gauge to have up to 3 lives, and ontop of that you have 4 hit points. If you manage to lose your health (actually pretty hard to do on purpose even), you use an extra life by waving your pointer over the main character to fill his life back up to max, and even then if you botched THAT up, it sends you back to the most recent spot where you saved or even did something important to the story. Lost Winds offers about 3 hours of gameplay, and costs 1000 wii points. So if you're totally cool with spending 3.33 an hour to basically have a fairy tale read to you by a video game console, go for it. It's not that bad.
